Re: Warning! Diane 35 (Dianette) and Saw Palmetto
I too read all the horror stories that people have had while on Diane 35/Dianette and it made me a little worried too so I can understand how you feel. However I didn't have any of that. The very first day of taking Diane 35 I had a headace and then nothing ever since. I now have very light, regular periods with no period pain or cramping. I read stories about people on Diane 35 getting really emotional, moody and easily upset. I have not experienced any of that. In fact I am happier than ever at the moment (I don't think this is to do with the Diane 35)and I never burst into tears or anything like that. All I can think is that all the people that had a good experience with Diane 35 haven't said anything and only the small majority that have had a problem have gone on the internet. The only real problem I had is that it changed my skin from having the very occasional pimple to having really bad acen however its finally starting to clear a bit. Also expect for your skin to get a bit drier, it wasn't a problem for me just a matter of changing the moisturiser I used.
Now to the hair growth. I have only been on Diane 35 for 6 months and I have read it can take up to 12 - 18 months. So far I still have dark hair growing on my face but I have noticed it is getting a bit finer and not growing as quickly so I am just hoping for
In regards to Pocs, yes I think I do have it. When I saw the doctor I mentioned I was having really irregular periods, maybe only 2 or 3 a year and he said that he thought I had pocs although he did do any tests (I didn't have other symptoms like being overweight or severe
Acne - that only came with Diane 35!). You mentioned that you were experiencing bloating. I too have that, I can go from having a flat stomach to looking like I'm pregnant! Unfortunately Diane 35 did nothing for that.
Anyway I hope this helps a bit and I will keep you updated on how I go. Any questions please ask and let me know how you go with Dianette or anything else. Just don't expect instant results becuase I've found it can take a while and you just have to be patient!
