birth control and facial hair

Okay, I have heard so many different things about birth control and its effect on facial hair growth that i don't know what to believe. I went on birth control three months ago in part because i was told (by a doctor) that if hair growth was hormone-related that going on birth control would help it (because more estrogen would balance out the extra testoserone. I haven't noticed an increase in facial hair since I've been on it (mine is not severe at all, it's all pigmentless peach fuzz but i've just been noticing it more lately, but the thing is, i really don't like the idea of being on birth control. The idea of putting hormones in my body that aren't mine freaks me out. Plus I've heard if you stay on it for a really long time that it can sometimes be hard to conceive when you go off it. So now i kinda want to go off it. But i'm just worried that if i go off it, the facial fuzz will get worse as my body adjusts to its normal estrogen levels. Does anyone have any experience with this? Has anyone talked to their doctors about it? My friend is an aesthetician who does electrolysis and she says that going on and off the pill will mess with your hormones (she says that the ladies she treats mention they first noticed having facial hair when going on or coming off the pill). I know that everyone is different, but if I could just get some answers I would really appreciate it!!!!
