I am so sorry for your wife. I have had gallbladder attacks and the pain is horrible! I've been able to relieve attacks with ES in water. I take 2 table spoons (yuck) and chase it with lemon juice. It usually works for me within 20 min

My son had a severe attack this past Sunday. He ended up in emergency surgery on the 6th. Surgeon said his white count was up and told us there was no choice but to remove his gallbladder. I hope we did the right thing. Before he went to the ER I gave him ES and it didn't do anything except maybe make the pain worse.

I have been trying to save my gallbladder for the past 3 years and have not had an attack in at least 6 months.

I know this doesn't help much but wanted to share story as my son was admitted to ER about the same time as your wife and I know what you are going through.
