I had all the same kind of tests, and nothing showed up- just the continuing elevated liver enzymes...and chronic, ongoing dull pain. I had no classic gallbladder attacks, or symptoms people talk about (like not being able to eat fats etc)..but the Hida Scan was what found my gallbladder only functioning at 5% capacity. They did gallbladder surgery the next morning. No stones, it just wasn't working.
Fast forward one year..( I had neglected to go to any kind of Dr because I thought that should have cured everything) but because of the chronic tiredness and still not feeling very well,(I thought it was probably thyroid)- so I went to the local Health Fair to have blood drawn. I was dismayed when I once again saw the liver enzymes were still elevated! A Nurse Practitioner thought to check for Epstein Barr Virus, which affects the liver- and they found it to be high for chronic/reactive EBV. The endoscopy prior to the surgery also found celiac... I had been off of all gluten for a full year, when I was once again back to square one with the elevated liver enzymes.
After total humiliation from going to an Infectious Disease Dr (for the EBV), because I made the mistake of mentioning that I had done a
Liver Flush and gotten large, green stones out of my liver...
my husband and I decided we were not going to get things resolved through MD's, and he suggested I find an Alternative Dr. The one I found is an excellent one, and knew exactly what I was talking about when I told him I had done a
Liver Flush and got big green stones out of my liver.
Liver Flushing is part of his protocal.
I had also found CZ just prior to that, which was where I found out about liver flushing..but I also found out that
Hulda Clark is right when she says that doing
Liver Flushes with
parasites in the liver...will make you sick. It's a wonder I went on to do any more
Liver Flushing after the first two...
By then, my liver felt like a football, and it was getting worse and worse for the pain. I literally could not ride in a vehicle because the movement hurt so bad. Seeing the green stones though, I knew I had big stuff in there that needed to come out that was plugging it up..
but little did I know, that the main problem of why my liver was swollen up like a full water balloon, was because of all the
parasites I then also found was plugging up the bile ducts. Flukes, and not a few of them. Other types of
parasites to go with them. Had I not had the help of a good ND that had experience working with patient's with parasites, I could have had quite a mess on my hands trying to take care of the load on my own. He told me I was the worst infected patient he's ever had...but with the different herbal dewormers, and homeopathics, he helped me keep after them, and I've gotten the large load killed off, and just do maintenace type stuff for them now..but it was 14 months straight, non-stop.
That totally goes against what Humaworm tells people to do, and he was adamant that the worst thing to do once you start killing them, is to stop. I was seeing visible parasites that entire time, so what was I not seeing too? I later found other types of pathogens affecting my liver too.
When the ND did a "marker" thorough blood test the first day I went to him, not only was my liver showing ongoing damage with the elevated enzymes, but my C reactive protein was above normal, and so was the Fibrinogen level above normal. The first thing he had gotten me started with, was colon cleansing, and with it I was also
Liver Flushing regularly (every 2 weeks at that time), and then the
parasite killing got started. I HAD to
Liver Flush regularly, especially with killing the parasites. Not only do live parasites plug the liver/bile ducts, but so does the dead stuff.
9 months after doing just the colon cleansing, liver flushing and
parasite killing, the next marker blood test showed my liver enzymes were within the normal range (for the first time in almost 2 years), and my cholestrol & triglycerides were in the normal range (they had also been above normal, with HDL lower than it should have been), and the biggest improvement was in the C Reactive Protein (which indicates inflammation), and the Fibrinogen (which is the stick stuff in the blood that can cause strokes/clots).
Could I have saved my gallbladder when I found it at 5% capacity? I don't think so. I think at that point, it was to the point that it could have turned necrotic and caused more problems..but the gallbladder wasn't the source of the problem to begin with. The problem was with the plugged up liver.
My husband and ND would both tell you, that had I not found the core cause of what was going on, with the parasites and the stones caused from the bile ducts being blocked by them..that I wouldn't have gone many years more. I was in very bad shape, and all the last MD told me was "we can put you on anti-depressants"...and laughed me out of the office for mentioning the big green
liver stones from doing a liver flush.
The Hida Scan will show how the gallbladder is working..but NO test showed the parasites/large green stones in my liver.
1 TB of
Epsom Salts in water, will stop a gallbladder attack.
I made myself wait the 2 weeks in between
Liver Flushes when I first started...and I later found that I needed to listen to my liver for when I could feel the stones that needed to come out. Often times, I've had to do them once a week, and there have been times when I've had to do them 2-3 nights in a row because of all the stones needing to come out. The longer a person has been sick, and the more blocked the bile ducts have been, the more stuff there will likely be that needs to be moved out. I was glad to also have the experienced liver flushers, like Telman, telling me about things that some people don't experience..and that was the large "mother-lode" type stones from the bile ducts being plugged up for some time.
Epsom Salts will relax the bile duct, and with the size of the stuff I've gotten out regularly, they are an important part of flushing, in my opinion.
I also found that putting castor oil packs over my liver, helped alot. I would sleep with them over my liver.
I'll be interested in hearing how the Hida scan goes, but with my experience in going through it...Dr's are probably going to want to do surgery. Most people who have the surgery, are like me and discover it definetly is not the "cure all". I feel fortunate that I don't have the diarrhea and bowel problems many people find themselves with after the surgery, but my liver is still taking work--and it's now been 3 years after the surgery, and 2 years of working on it with the Alternative stuff. What I've discovered along the way..are aLOT of "co-factors" that have probably been affecting it for years and years (including Lyme, to do with the parasites..and chemical/heavy metal toxins).
