I have no idea what the Ancient Minerals is made up from as I find some of the claims by many sellers quite contradictory . I suspect some of it is just sales hype.

My product is very pure, it comes from the Okinawan Islands-Japan & being a dehydrated powder because it is used for making capsules up in the first part, hence the need to rehydrate for transdermal applications.I also know it is very pure not only from the data supplied with the product but also from my own test results.That is why I use Double Purified water for re-hydration to make the oil or oral liquid.

I am located in Australia & I presume you are in the US, so I really wouldn't know how you could source this grade & type of product in your country.Perhaps you could find a nutrients wholesaler or re-seller.

How long before the flakes melt into oil substance ?

Not really sure as I haven't done it myself, but one of my contacts found this worked for her and she was the one who told me about it. I guess the time of year could make a difference depending on humidity etc. I do know that if I spill just the tiniest amount as I have done many times, it turns into a puddle of water very quickly.
