Dear Paulett, The women you spoke to are absolutley correct! I too was around for WWII and the US tried getting support from other nations to go after Hitler, but to no avail, and you see what happened! The rest of the world DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE that this was really happening, and tried to ignore it - just like what is going on now. The only difference today is that there is so much more coverage in todays world, especially on the television. But, that is good, and you'd think that since people today are more informed of what REALLY IS GOING ON they'd stop making excuses for Sadaam. This is virtually the same situation as WWII, - the threat is there, he plans to use it (why else would he be developing these weapons and biological chemicals....??) and he already HAS used it on his own people! He has made verbal threats over the years concerning the U.S. and now he is very close to having the weaponry to try something. With todays technology, this will be far worse than what Hitler did! Nobody wants a war, but unfortunatley, if Sadaam (who does fund much of Al-Queda) isn't stopped, what will our future hold? How long do you really think we can put off the inevitable? People today are much like many people of that time, they'd rather not deal with it, and just hope it goes away. I think history is our best teacher of what happens when we do that! God Bless. Mom
