I do not know an exact # as to how long is too long, but from what I've fasting for 10-14 days should not be an issue at all, if you are in reasonably good health (even 20-30 days for that matter).

With that being said, if it's fear that's causing you to break the fast before Day 4, keep telling yourself that you are not doing damage by pushing for longer... if it's fear + combination of feeling TERRIBLE, tell yourself that is NORMAL. Most people feel like crap the first few days. Tweet
