ok, I just hit "alert- good message" on your post. If the system is working, you've got mail in your inbox.

Also, though, go into admin mode. In dark letters, next to your post, it should say "R" alert. A bad alert will show as "H" alert.

The good thing about the recommendations going to the inbox is that you can see who recommended. We have posters that really know their stuff, so when they alert I can count on the fact that the alert is good. The admin mode version is anonymous.
