Hey DF, If you are not use to getting out in the sun, I would slowly build up to it until your skin has time to become more alkaline. The baths will help this a great deal and of course the drink builds from the inside. That will be a good sign to you that you are building your alkaline reserves, once you can tan easily.
Before doing this protocol, I could be out in the sun for 10 minutes and go back indoors and my skin stung and felt burnt even if it did not show redness. I enjoy having a light-medium tan now and use no oils or blocks, unless I'm out all day long, with no breaks.
Yeah, all thoses symptoms sound familar with being too acidic...of course back then, I didn't know what that was, but I remember how I felt.
I have never seen lemon juice make my saliva go up. I normally always have 7.0 saliva (after morning testing) but lemon juice will make it drop, even hours later. The next day it's back to normal again. I have never had an excellent lemon before, so perhaps they react differently.
I know you are concerned about doing something wrong or not understanding the protocol correctly but the truth is, all of us have to experiment with it. You will have ups and downs as you learn. Just take a mental note of everything you are doing.....better yet, take real notes, to help you put 2+2 together and figure out what works well for you. We all have done it and yes, it takes patience and time to get a good feel for what you need from day to day.
