I have been researching the different woods the FIR (Far-Infrared-Sauna) saunas are made from. According to my research Basswood is the most hypoallergenic, or so it seems.
I have also been researching ceramic vs carbon heaters and overall carbon heaters seem to be the most effective.
Sunlight Saunas makes their Signature series with a heater they call Solocarbon which is supposed to be more effective and they have been clinically tested. Does anyone have their sauna and what do you think about the Solocarbon technology vs plain old carbon heaters?
I saw a 1-2 person sauna, hemlock, carbon heater on costco website for only $999 (SunTech 9101) vs the Sunlight delivery & tax incl. for $2,500. Is the $1,500 worth paying the difference or am I just kidding myself and the $999 (shipping incl) is a steal from costco???
