Heptahydrate just means there are 7 water molecules attached to it. Anhydrous (no water) is generally used as a drying agent since it so readily absorbs water

In the words of Wickepedia
Almost all known mineralogical forms of MgSO4 occur as hydrates.

All I did was google magnesium sulphate heptahydrate
