I am a little lost as to why there is concern of imminent damage being done. I'm 130 pounds and 5'3, which is far from starvation weight. Is the problem that I might be out of reserves of some nutrient? If so, which one? While I still have fat reserves, that was really my only fear.
One more question: It seems logical that if you consume nothing but water, your body will deplete itself of both fat and nutrient reserves. If you consume supplements, it seems logical your body will deplete itself of just fat. The second option seems safer, but many seem to disagree. Can someone explain why it is safer to fast longer terms without the vitamins/minerals/nutrients your body needs, than with?
