menstrual migraines

i'm back after a long time not being here, we are now upto 2 dogs, 2 puppies, 1 cat, 4 kittens, 3 geese, 3 ducks, 11 chickens and a turkey...........all having daily Iodine supplementation, i have also been experimenting, after starting Lugol's i started with menstrual migraines, they start on the first day of my cycle and last 24/7 until the end of day 3, i have found out if i don't take Iodine for a couple of days before i start my cycle, i don't get the migraines, this seems bizarre, i am at present down to 6 drops of 5% 4/5 times a week, i also use Iodine in my coconut oil which i use as body/face/hand cream, from some of the info i have been reading i may be taking too little iodine, which also seems bizarre, i have also realised i can not drink more than one glass of wine when i have iodine otherwise i get a bromide type headache which lasts 24 hours.
all help would be gratefully received.
