I am still uncertain as the difference between fasting and starvation mode.
I heard some people say that any flavour on a fast can snap you out of fasting mode and put you into starvation mode but am a little skeptical.
For example, lets say a person require 2000 calories a day. They go on a Water Fast and dont eat anything for 6 days and are in ketosis and get their 2000 calories from fat.
Then they drink a diet coke which has 4 calories and a sweet taste.
This would not bring a person out of ketosis and they would continue getting their 1996 calories from fat.
Does the digestive system really wake up from any flavour?
On my last fast i drank a diet coke on day 9 and experienced no difference to my weight loss and no hunger.
