Brix Readings

All,

Here is how it looks. Not good - but better than I had hoped.

Baby Spinach = 2 = Poor - Fuzzy
Kale = 3 = Poor - Fuzzy
Lettuce = 2 = Poor - Fuzzy
Parsely = 5 = Average - Not Sharp
Lemon = 8 = Average - Not Sharp
Lime = 9 = Average - Not Sharp
Strawberry = 12 = Average - Fuzzy
Green Apple = 11 = Good - Sharp
Carrot = 10 = Good - Fuzzy
Sweet Potato = 11 = Good - Fuzzy

We buy some frozen fruit and vegs. I have yet to measure them.

The "good" news is... the only sharp line I have seen on on the green apples. The bad news is.. the GREENs are very LOW In mineral content.

I am working to get some greens started growing - should have the seeds planted today (late start.. but hopefully will grow OK).

I was really suprised by the strawberries.. I thought they may be trouble... I am learning. They actually looked pretty good - and smelled decent.

The closest Farmers Market I know of is Dallas - ~ 30 miles..

Not sure I can keep greens for a week ??? Any pointers ?

Also - "Baby Greens"... are we just asking for it ??

MD.
