amazing 'road to damascus moment' yesterday

Guys I just had to share something with all of you. Maybe it will inspire anyone with health issues who are also income challenged and wanting to live better.

I went shopping at the Dollar General yesterday. I really wanted some bleach (the only chemical I'll use) to clean the sink, etc. Anyway, veggie brush, etc. I kept my plastic purchases to a minimum as I want an environmental solution to scrubbing carrots. We had twelve dollars left. I was a little hungry and my husband got some hotdogs from Sheetz. When I got home, I didn't want to rummage around for food that wasn't going to improve my mood any, etc. I went outside and picked dandelions, greens, etc. and raided the family freezer for blueberries. Made a huge green smoothie and drank it outside in the sun God's glorious sun.

Later, I had a huge salad and watched gardening videos with my husband all evening. I have more food that is wonderful and enjoyable that I realise. I made a choice not to be depressed and sad over having a dollar in my bank account. Today I woke up at 0500 and wasn't tired. Still had my morning coffee but a little granola and nothing else. Not hungry. I won't let money come between ideal health and mental wellbeing. I'm supposed to be getting my healthinsurance back in July which is great but I know I'm fully responsible for my health in the end.

Longwinded but I'm full of deep thoughts this morning! LOL
