I didn't know I had a Introverted Uterus until the Doctor went in to place mine today. It took a dilating tool and 3 tries before getting it in. No screaming, a lot of bearing down and hand/foot twicthing. The nurse kept asking me if I was okay and I turned my head so she didn't see me tear up. I thought she was going to tell him to stop. I was about to vomit and pass out but I apparently have a high tolerance for pain..according to them. I was very concerned because I have not had any children and everyone said that could make a large difference, the Doctor waved that off and said as long as I was on my period I would be fine (Before the exam). I told him in the begining that I was the Guniea Pig for my friends and family who wanted the IUD who have not had children. After the "succesful" insertion he told me it was not a typical insertion and not to tell them about it. he also ordered a Ultrasound today to make sure it was in the correct place, that told me he basically shoved it. My advice would be to get a really nice OBGYN/Female to give you a cervical anesthetic at the least.
