I've found a definite connection....

My seb derm is almost entirely gone after completely abstaining from what I have discovered has been the cause all along. For me (and I'm speaking only on behalf of my own personal SD experience), the cause is from alcohol (beer, wine, liquor, etc) and vinegar (or anything containing vinegar).
I've always noticed that after a night out drinking my SD would be much worse the next morning, so I generally have not drank while trying to cure the condition. However, I never knew before that vinegar was also causing problems until I started noticing a digestive sensitivity to pickles.
All my life I've had a pretty sensitive stomach just in general, so I often overlook something specific that might be the cause. But recently I've noticed the last few times I've eaten pickles, I've had to basically run to the toilet (sorry for the explicitness) within less than 30 minutes. It got pretty bad to the point where I decided to not eat pickles at all anymore.
After giving up pickles, and after completely avoiding anything vinegar-based out of fear that it would cause the same reaction, my SD started to clear.
I've even tested that vinegar and alcohol were the root cause because the other day I had a few beers and sure enough the next day my SD started to show up again and appeared very red. After a few days of going back to healthy eating/drinking habits with no alcohol or vinegar, it started to disappear again.
Again, this is only from my own personal experience but I have definitely been able to keep my SD under control in this way.
I also take 4000mg of fish oil every day (2 tablets in the morning and 2 more at night) and eat fatty fish at least 2-3 times a week. This definitely helps with the inflammation and getting rid of the redness of the SD.
