I have one of those lamps. They look pretty awesome when you have it turned on. Mine isn't really huge so maybe I am not a good judge of it but I didn't see any big improvement. I get allergies/hayfever sometimes so I bought it for my bedroom. I think it looks neat and is relaxing esp. when I put it in the bathroom and soak in my whirlpool tub. I can turn out all the lights and just have the soft glow of the lamp and its very soothing. Maybe if you had several lamps the ions released would be more significant, however, the only way to help the furniture problem would be to get rid of the furniture. IMO Tweet
