Re: Formaldehyde Toxicity from Furniture
Hi, Palaecro!
Good detective work, and good choice to pray for help. I can think of no illness that humbles us to the point we admit we need help from a higher power the way chemical sensitivity/MCS does. Improved spiritual condition is one of the potential gifts that come with this terrible load!
Most, if not all, new furniture is toxic. While we may have an immediate reaction that allows us to avoid it, others pay later with such things as cancer! If it is not formaldehyde, it is the finishes, fireproofing in upholstery and mattresses, the list is very long.
If you Google Debra LyDadd, lots more info at her site. She ha been a pioneer in this field for many years. I always go there to research before making changes so that, hopefully, I no longer will get the type of problem you have just identified. She may have some ideas for making the furniture safer. If you find something there and try it, please be kind enough to report back on how things go!
Several decades ago, a theory was developed to explain MCS as a function of toxic overload. When one ties that in with the info regarding NPN and nitrate/nitrite poisoning, one has a convincing explanation of the cause.
The NPN can be seen as the hidden boxes in the hold of our "ship". Thy are the biggest and heaviest, and actual cause of our health crisis/sinking. However, most of us are desperately throwing all the very little light boxes we can see at the top of the load overboard with little progress for much effort, time and money!
If you want to find out more about getting to the root of the problem accurately, quickly, cheaply, please go to the Ask Moreless forum. That is what has helped me most in over 20 years of energetic searching and experimenting on myself!
Keep seeking heath, NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!!!
Hope to see you there soon!
