Change that...I mean openness with Standards!

...Standards that are gentle, thoughtful, and reasonable.

Try the word 'No', inside your head, on anything else.

Try it on something small and unimportant, at first...like how you butter your toast.

You'll find you can change your preferences quite easily.

Then, maybe change your preference back.

Practice on unimportant things until, someday, you can easily drop an important thought...just for now.

Your thoughts belong to you, and you can alter them at will, without inner argument, for as long as you wish.

It is especially easy if you substitute them for something else you prefer.

And, don't sweat stuff.

If you have a preference you want to establish in your life...simply say it aloud a couple of times in one day, then forget it.

Your sub-conscious mind is then charged with the duty to notice ways it will come true...notice opportunities.

Try it...

"I will find the perfect, affordable, and comfortable shoes."

"I will find excellent and tasty food that will improve my well-being, at prices I want to pay."

And, don't bother with blame...it is a waste of time and energy.

Just say, "Cancel."

Whoever was/is at fault, even ourselves, will learn better, or they won't.

And we have the advantage of being able to change ourselves, easily.

We can't do that for others...although we can invite them to change, with our support and goodwill, or on their own.

Or, we can walk away, wishing them well.

F.
