Re: All Tinctures bypass Digestive System?
From my reply yesterday about a similar question:
1. Do you take the Blood Detox tincture w/ meal, or w/o meal on an empty stomach, 30min before or after meal? Use the following "general rule" for ALL tinctures. They are alcohol based, and we'd like to get them into our systems as quickly as possible. What's the fastest way to get smashed/drunk? (lol, I mean, get herbal tinctures into our bloodstream)? Take them on an empty stomach :) Will the alcohol/herbs get in there if you don't take them on an empty stomach? Sooner or later, for sure and for certain :)
2. As for the liver/parasite tincture, I understand that you have to take it on its own to get the bitter effect. Does it have to be 30min before and after meal? as above. ALSO, I always take 2 teaspoons before every coffee enema (of course, I have plenty to spare)...but you can take it anytime you'd like to assist in whatever 'liver protocol' you're doing :)
Alcohol tinctures absorb through the stomach or upper intestines directly into the blood stream. If they're diluted with food/juice/water, the alcohol ratio would obviously be less, and they will absorb less quickly into the bloodstream. Depending upon 'assimilation' lower down into the colon, if the tinctures have saturated into food particles, some may not be as completely assimilated.
If you dilute it enough and skew the alcohol to liquid ratio would it still bypasses the digestive system?
Nothing we ingest can bypass the digestive system:)
