Can I ask if your husband has an opinion about the side effects? I know most docs arent commenting-other than that they "can" happen....

I can't decide if it is from not ovulating (thus, no progesterone production), the side effects of levongestrel, or the possibility of silicone toxicity (since it is actually used as the time release mechanism-a gel I believe). The problem is, our syptoms match all 3 causes.

It is very difficult for our doctors to treat our symptoms, because noone seems to know which of these factors (or a combination of them) is causing the majority of our problems.

If we could get a professional MD to hypothesize, it might be much easier to work with our own docs. (for those of us lucky enough to find ones who understands/admits it). Since you had sisters who had side effects, it might be easier for him to formulate a theory, than a doc who sees us for only a couple minutes every couple of months.

If he could give us a leg up, that would be fabulous! Totally understand if he doesnt want to get involved, but some of these gals are having a really tough time getting help....
