I don't know about chloring in regular water but chlorinated swimming pool water definately causes reddness. I still swim though. As long as I wash well immediatly afterwards and apply oil, it doesn't do to much harm.

But to answer your question. To least some extent at pool concentrations at least, chlorine is not good for SD. Tweet
