Re: Seborrheic Dermatitis

I totally agree about using oilbased moisturizer. I've used water-based cream moisturizer for years with moderately satisfactory results (not great but much better than nothing). I recently changed to using jojoba oil with is gizillions of times better. My only concern is about the purity of this product and how tightly it is controlled. I'm planning on trying olive oil next and am very encouraged by your post.

So far from what I've researched about olive oil an important thing is to avoid blends and to go for single producer product. Same principals as buying a good wine. Less chance of impurities (cheaper non olive oils) being added. This is fairly common apparently. Also it's a good idea to avoid Italian olive oil as their quality control is notoriously corrupt and they have been the source of the majority of purity scandals. I'm told that greek olive oil is more reliable. I figure if I'm putting this stuff on my face I might as well research it.
