I have been suffering from
Seborrheic Dermatitis since I was 18 seeing as there is currently no cue for this frustrating affliction I have been trying a few different things to manage my symptoms. I use Nizoral cream which is quite affective however it is expensive and I am not convinced that I like the idea of putting such strong chemicals on my skin.
I stumbled across an excellent way to manage my dermatitis quite by accident about 2 months ago and I am hopeful that this may actually have stoped the nasty organism altogether
I decided to switch from shaving cream to an oil based alternative as I was finding the cream was drying out my skin. Unfortunately shortly after I made the switch my local supermarket stopped selling the shaving oil.
Seeing as I was enjoying shaving with oil based products so much I was determined to find another product to replace the one that had been discontinued. Unfortunately I was unable to find such a product so I decided to try using regular olive oil that I use for cooking.
After using olive oil for about 2 weeks my dermatitis has completely disappeared. I shave about twice a week usually after a shower. I simply put some olive oil (Moro Extra Virgin) in a spray bottle and apply to my hands then wipe it over the areas I wish to shave. Apart from stopping my dermatitis it gives a wonderful shave with almost no shaving rash.
My girlfriend has also started using olive oil to shave her legs and other areas and is very impressed with how her skin feels and the ease of shaving.
I don’t think it matters what brand of olive oil you use as long it is not mixed with other things such as Canola oil which is nasty stuff in any case.
I am planning to stop using the olive oil and a few months and see if the dermatitis returns. I will post again with how this goes, currently though I have a method that stops my dermatitis is extremely cheap and available and gives the best shave I have ever had.
It’s Win Freaking Win baby love and respect
