Re: Processed Meats Linked to 74 Percent Higher Risk of Leukemia
Interesting, not everything is black and white though, otherwise organic vegan raw foodists who avoid all chemicals would be the centenarions in this country. They are not. In the UK papers today was a story about two 96 year olds who each drank 2 litres of whisky a week.
Your quote "Better still dont eat any meat at all"
You see for most research there is counter research. I have read somewhere that Surveys have been carried out from the population of Seventh day evangelists and the Mormons. Both groups dont smoke and drink, and as you will know, one group doesnt eat meat. Cancer rates were similar. So would a little meat do any harm? A scientist once said Nothing is poison, everything is poison..Meaning its all a question of dose.
Maybe it is all about dossage. Staying away from everything bad might just let your body forget how to deal with them, whereas having a few bad things, keeps your body dealing with unwanted stuff..much like a muscle. Its an interesting article, but I am going to treat myself to the odd bacon butty, because I dont think depriving myself of one will make me live 1 day longer. I will just not eat it every day.
