Re: Combining Western Astrology with Mayan Astrology - NDE
Just found a very interesting site on Near Death Experiences (link below) - and he has a page on Astrology!
It's tripping me out because he's talking about the 12 apostles being the '12 council members' in so many NDE's - and, of course, the 12 apostlles represent the 12 signs of the zodiac (all possibility/potential). Well...there is Jesus (Christ Consciousness) plus the 12 apostles...which adds up to 13! And it just makes the 13-Day Mayan overlay sooooooo apt! The 13th Day doesn't have a 'house' or 'character' (when overlaid on the 12th house astro chart) because it is our Whole Self! The 'Christ' part within - the Soul of ourselves....the larger pattern of ourselves that is directly plugged into the Source. Our Larger Self that contains it all.
This line is perfect for this Overlay concept: "The early Church leader Clement of Alexandria (150-215 A.D.), in Excerpta ex Theodota, had no hesitation in equating the twelve disciples with the twelve signs of the zodiac, with Christ as the central sun ... "

The twelve signs of the zodiac NDE
There is an astrological connection between the Beings of Light, the near-death experiencer, and the near-death experience itself. This astrological connection can best be seen in those NDEs where the experience appears before the Being of Light and a group of other light beings. Experiencers have referred to this group by different names: a council of men, or a Council of Elders, or council, or Elders, or something similar to this. This council usually consists of twelve Beings of Light are representatives of the twelve signs of the zodiac and/or the twelve apostles of Jesus. This astrological connection becomes apparent when an experiencer undergoes a life review or special encounter with others usually for the purpose of learning about their destiny or a prophecy.
Dannion Brinkley and the twelve Beings of Light: Dannion was led to a heavenly cathedral by a Being of Light. There he met twelve more Beings of Light whom represented the zodiac:
I was able to count the beings as they stood behind the podium. There were thirteen of them, standing shoulder to shoulder and stretched across the stage. I was aware of other things about them, too, probably through some form of telepathy. Each one of them represented a different emotional and psychological characteristic that all humans have. For example, one of these beings was intense and passionate, while another was artistic and emotional. One was bold and energetic, yet another possessive and loyal. In human terms, it was as though each one represented a different sign of the zodiac. In spiritual terms, these beings went far beyond the signs of the zodiac. They emanated these emotions in such a way that I could feel them. (Dannion Brinkley)
