If a doctor administers it they will likely do it by injection or autohemotherapy. If he can obtain a unit for home use then he could do rectal insufflation at low flow and low concentration. This method is considered in general to be as effective as autohemotherapy after a several treatments. I personally feel it is also a better choice than injections, which are generally considered the most effective. The reason is because ozone is very reactive and will even break itself down. Injections require pulling the ozone in to a glass syringe then slowly injecting in to the blood. Recommended rate of injection is about 1cc/min. So lets say a doctor uses a 80cc syringe, it would take 80 minutes to complete the injection. But the half life of ozone is around 15 minutes. In short most of the ozone will be broken down long before the injection can be completed. On the other hand if doing insufflation at low flow (around 1/10th liter per minute) the ozone will cross the membranes at pretty much the same rate as it is being administered. This will give a higher level of ozone actually getting in to the blood. Recommended treatments are 3 times daily 20 minutes each session. Initial sessions will be much shorter due to the bloating that will occur with the first 3 or so treatments. These treatments are normally around 6 minutes. After several treatments the bloating should no longer occur and the recommended 20 minute treatments can be used.

Water can also be ozonated with a fine bubble diffuser in cold water and drunk immediately. This is not as efficient, but it does help, is less invasive, easier to do, and can be done more frequently.

If he is going to do any type of injection or insufflation he will need a cold corona device with an oxygen tank. Do not use ultraviolet (UV) or hot corona devices. And if he decides to do this at home he should do his homework first. This therapy is extremely safe, but only if done correctly.
