Re: friendship
Ah ha! I've got news for you - I am married!!!
But I'm allergic to being pregnant. True story, so sad.
(lol, okay, not allergic but no kids for me!)
In all seriousness, part of why this comes up is because after being deeply entrenched in my lovely relationship with my wonderful husband, the need for girl time comes up in my psyche. He's Navy so I am far far away from home and building new relationships is a challenge if I want them to go beyond a fairly shallow (but very friendly) level.
My situation has got me thinking aloud, so to speak, about friendships and what holds people back and the fact that they don't seem to grow quickly or easily. We'll be moving back this fall and I do keep in touch with my girlfriends on the East Coast so it will be nice to be closer to home. This probably sheds some light on my current thought process.
I can definitely see how having kids would change relationships as it has with my sister who has a son. Kids are a lot of time and work!
BTW, I sure do like being married. :-)
