I found that same site you linked above, good one. I am blown away by the fact that the Mayans and Aztecs could map these transits and anticipate them! We can't see them with the naked eye, they HAD to have had telescopes and the Aztecs have the transits marked on their calendar, they must have tracked Venus for a few thousand years to know for sure that the transit would occur again and again... it happens so infrequently, no one ALIVE today has ever seen one, so when we think what it would take to map such an event over the years, it's mind boggling! my mind is boggled!
