The goal of acupuncture treatment is to rebalance energy pathways within the body that are out of balance. However, it's my belief that if the energies within your body are NORMALLY balanced in such a way as to give you allergy symptoms, acupuncture can temporarily relieve those symptoms by redirecting energies, but not cure allergies. Sooner or later, your normal energy balance will re-assert itself. Acupuncture may cure allergies if they are due to an abnormal imbalance of energies in your body.

Why might your NORMAL energy balance create allergy symptoms? Because allergies can be functional. They can have a purpose. They alert us to environmental toxins.
