The itching is a sign of leaky gut, even something simple like ground pepper can cause this if it irritates the gut or goes through it. However thrush can't be argued as a symptom of candida overgrowth. Definitely heal the candida first, without a doubt. But don't be fooled if your candida is beat down but you still have symptoms as this could and most likely will simply be the leaky gut permeability needing to be healed.
Best thing you can do is find an effective way to kill candida that your not extremely sensitive to and come down hard on it. Not only will this avoid further damage to your gut by the candida, but it will in fact help your immune system rid you of the overgrowth. If you get any sort of gut inflammation avoid whatever it was you ingested that may have caused this. You'll notice the gut inflammation from symptoms like gut pain, bloating, eye inflammation and sometimes rashes and constipation can be effects of this, but other things may cause those.
