I think there is a great deal of controversy about these products.  We recently purchased a used machine and will be trying it.

I know there are some stories of great success.  Like so much alternative medicine, there isn't hard evidence (yet).  The clinical trials needed to scientifically prove efficacy are so expensive that there is no financial incentive for the companies to go through them.   Check out this story:
