The ONLY socialism that works

If you want to see the only socialism I've ever seen with my own eyes that works, look to the Amish. I don't live all that far away from them, and they are awesome. I'm in Amish country several times a year and always come away laughing at all the rest of us. What a ridiculous lot we've become. Isn't it amazing that they do it all without the government and they do it so much better? We had the Amish build a shed for us and deliver it to our property. When the man came, he had his mentally retarded son with him who helped him place the shed. When they left I said to my husband that that man never has to worry about his son. When he's gone, that community will make sure his son is cared for, no state agencies where he has to worry if he'll be abused, no gobs of money being eaten up. They are independent, yet all work together. Nothing is forced. They grow up and are taught to do what is right for their neighbors. Is it perfect? No. But it sure is a lot better than the way we live. Tweet
