Does Anyone Know Anything About Iosol?

Hello I am somewhat new around here. I visited the liver/gallbladder forums last year when I got severely ill. I have suspected that my thyroid hasn't been working well for quite sometime, but last summer when I felt especially cold and tired my lab test came back normal. They just did the basic test and the doctors here in our rural area are very old school.
So I've been doing the Alternate Day Diet since mid November which I usually end up fasting a day or two a week. Since then (and getting some dental work done) my body has gotten colder and colder. And I have gotten more and more depressed. My fingernails all have vertical ridges and flake and break easily. My hair is frizzy, falling out and dry. My skin is starting to get flaky. It has always been dry. I have been feeling like a mess. I can't seem to handle stress anymore. I feel overwhelmed so easily. I just want my life back.
I think I've got it figured out that my symptoms are most likey hypothyroid. I need to find something I can do to help myself. I feel doctors won't help me, as they didn't last year when I presented with gall bladder problems.
So I started taking some Iodoral that I bought in the summer. I only took it two days in the summer because I got very bad canker sores and head aches immediately. 8 days ago I started taking the Iodoral and I ordered some Iosol which I just received this morning.
I have been feeling better since starting the Iodoral. I am warmer and I have an overall sense of well being. I hope I have found the solution. It would be so awesome if the answer to my problems are as simple as supplementing with Iodine!
My question is...
Are all forms of Iodine basically the same? Does it really make a difference? Or are some better than others?
Because I read an article that this Iosol is better and that the potassium iodine, the Lugols and the Iodoral can clog the receptors in the thyroid and .... somehow be bad for a person. I don't completely understand what I read, nor am I sure if I believe it.
I would appreciate anyone sharing their knowledge with me.
And if anyone has advice for improving hypothyroid symptoms and health in general I would really appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you so much,
