Re: Bloodwork
Hi Pauline!
I'm sorry you were in the normal range in your tests. I know how it feels to want some answers and feel let down. I don't think tests are very accurate sometimes and it may be best to go by symptoms. Even though your thyroid tested in the normal range does not mean that you are not hypothyroid. Doctors have a different idea of what normal is. If you have the symptoms, then your thyroid is not functioning properly, or as good as it could. I just did my extensive bloodwork yesterday morning and they took 9 viles. The doctor wants to get to the root and rule out everything so that's why they had to draw so much blood. I have no idea how accurate the blood test will be (as opposed to saliva or hair analysis) but he wanted me to have it done first before we try something else. I believe they are accurate for white blood cells and such, mine were low last time but I did not get as extensive of a test. What was your TSH? I think anything above a two can be enough for you to feel crappy.
I would not take the armour, especially if you did not tollerate it last time. I am just now getting my vision back to normal and don't have to hold onto things when I stand. I was sick for a month from that thyroid medicine. I am now taking selenium for my thyroid and I hear tumeric is good too so I am taking that. You should try some tyrosine as well as B and C. B5 and B6 and B12 especially. I am liking the niacin too. I don't know Pauline, you may want to consider going to a hormone specialist that specializes in bio-identical hormones. You may just need some progesterone or growth hormone or something? I am beginning to think balancing the hormones is key here.
I am on Zoloft now as you know because I have low seretonin. It helped in the past am I am crossing my fingers/ I have OCD though so life was just too hard without it, even with my faith in God. I tried all I could to avoid going on the Zoloft for too long. Though I did have my OCD go away for a while after getting prayer from a woman I met at a healing conference and Randy Clark prayed over me too. I have had a lot of prayer over me and have someone coming on Saturday. It really helps.
I wouldn't stop there Pauline. Consider the hormones or a hair analysis to check heavy metals and minerals that you may be low in.
Praying for you girl!
Meg
