Oh yea... I hadn't mentioned that I used to inhale warm salt water into my nostrils by dipping a corner of a tissue into salt water & inhaling.
I would do this when I'd feel a cold in the making, and it would prevent the germs from taking hold. But I would feel an "irritated burning" feeling inside my nose when I'd do it. It certainly wasn't pleasant!
BTW, I also heard that Xlear is supposed to be very good.
As for the humidifier, uh, I've thought of it in the past - I used to check out humidifiers in the department store. But they require constant maintenance, and I just didn't feel like bothering with that. Besides, I move around in the house - I'm not always in one room. Sometimes the bedroom, sometimes kitchen and sometimes computer room.
