Don't be fooled! LDN is not what you think a drug is - LDN is holistic

I know that a lot of people on this board are like me - they have a natural, and healthy distrust of pharmaceutical drugs. Interferon (for my hep c) about killed me and failed to clear the virus. I went on a 10 week juice fast to detoxify afterward, and that saved my life (posted on this board earlier). I am deeply entrenched in holistic methods and practices. But we should have open minds, not closed minds, and there is an exception to every rule.

I AM TELLING YOU, LDN IS THE EXCEPTION.

Despite being a loud advocate for natural healing techniques, I have a medical education. I understand science, and I understand drugs, and I have to tell you, if the drug companies had known what LDN would do, they never would have developed it.

LDN is the definitive immunomodulator. It maximizes and optimizes your whole immune system. It makes your immune system effective against cancer, all autoimmune diseases, autism, hiv, etc. The reason that it is not mainstream is that the drug patent ran out before the effectiveness of low dose naltrexone was discovered. The difference is that LDN makes your immune system work, it does not do the work itself.

Low dose naltrexone is very widely used now for cancer and autoimmune diseases, specifically for crohn's and multiple sclerosis. It is just now getting started for hepatitis c and b.

Low Dose Naltrexone is an FDA approved drug developed as an endorphin antagonist. At a high dose (50mg) it blockades the endorphin receptors and keeps drug abusers from getting high when they shoot heroin. High dose form has an FDA 20 year record of safety with no side effects and proven liver-protective benefits.

But the Low Dose form of naltrexone (3-4 mg) is actually an almost homeopathic dose, and it works much differently from the high dose. Here's why: LDN blockades a small percentage (10 percent?) of the endorphin receptors for about four hours, then they fall off and degrade.
