dead/dying birds?????????

Ok... I had a dream last night & I dont really remember all of it but the part I do remember I think is strange.... here goes...
I dreamed I went walking down the street looking for the yard that is missing a cover to a sidewalk light (I found one blowing down the street the other day..was very windy) and I ended up going into this garage but it was like some sort of office/waiting room. There was a desk with a receptionist & I didn't sign in because I just needed to know if the cover belonged to the person living in the house.... the receptionist left the room & I noticed that the office was kind of like a sun room with plants & lots of natural light & was open to the outdoors & hanging up behind the deck was some sort of bird feeder.... but it looked like a jar with wire wrapped around the rim & hanging up from a plant hook. In it were 2 very very little birds. One was black with a red & I think yellow strip on the wing. Mostly black but you could see the other colors when it fluttered its wings. The other one I'm not sure the color but I think it was yellow. I thought they were in the feeder jar eating then I noticed they looked like they were trying to take a bath by flapping their wings around but it wasnt bird seed or water in the jar... it was salt like epsome or Sea Salt ... something coarse ground & I realized the yellow bird was getting covered up by the stuff as the black one splattered the salt around & I was afraid it would smuther & die.... I started looking around for someone to tell but no one was around so I picked up a small stick & tried to uncover the little bird up just to find it was dead.... then the black one started to act paralized & I would pick them up because I didn't want to hurt them.... the thought even entered my mind "what if they are diseased". The lady came back & I told her the birds were dead & WHY would they give birds salt. She started emptying the jar & I was upset the birds were dead.... as she was getting the yellow one out & noticed the black one started to move & I realize it was trying to shake off the salt so it could fly but I was sure the yellow one was dead since it had been burried.... but to my surprise it too started to try to shake off & flutter its wings.... I was relieved they were alive then I woke up...........
ok..... anyone know if it means anything?
