Re: is depression a cultural disorder

I have found this to be true. It's as if, when I'm alone and feeling depressed, a certain part of my brain gets to indulge in depression. Once other forces to take over and I interact with a person again, this mostly goes away. I wonder if people who live in highly interactive social groups, in houses with lots of people, ever feel depressed for very long?
