Great with one big problem, recessed memory is surfacing and I so do not want to remember. Only my second day of fasting. What do you think?
It happens to all of us. I use both EFT, and Hypnosis.
With EFT, you have to work on the base thoughts that make those memories that keep haunting you. I don't think you can ever repress them, but you can put them into proper perspective where they don't have the same stress levels when they do come to mind. In other words, you come to grips with them by either forgiving yourself, or the other persons, thereby releasing the negative aspect of the memory.
I'm no expert on the subject, but I use EFT all the time. I usually have to repeat the process because I don't delve deep enough to clear the slate. I am satisfied to get temporary relief. This isn't all bad as sometimes you come up with a new avenue to go down that sometimes helps.
I think that while you're doing EFT that whatever comes to mind you should write it down on a piece of paper, and approach the problem from each, continually writing down new thoughts that come to mind while you are tapping.
For instance, you might start out with tapping on the immediate problem at hand which is these thoughts that you uncover that bother you while you fast. "Even though I have these stressful repressed thoughts when I try to fast, I deeply, and completely love, and accept myself, and I choose to be free of all stressful thoughts". Then if any other thoughts about the incident comes to mind, write them down, and work on them. If not just tap from another angle like: "Even though my previous life is now history, I deeply, and completely love and accept myself, and I choose to dwell only on my life now, and my happiness". Or "I fast for better health, and I very much love and accept myself, it is my choice to be healthy in body as well as in mind, and spirit"
Writing down anything that might come to mind to serve as another plan of attack.

Sometimes I tap when walking. You can even tap without doing the actual tapping by "visualization", and silent suggestions, and talking in your head. Takes practice, but it will work. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
