Re: Should I salt load even if I don't have detox symptoms?

First off you need to up your salt intake no matter what just to get rid of the Bromine you are exposed to daily. Think of the fire retardant given off at night from your bedding requiring a 1/8 tsp of salt alone...

But the real issue is that at some point you will get a dump and you will need to take copious amounts of salt. If your body isn't used to the higher intake by then you will retain water.

Any increase of salt intake will amount to 3-5 days of water retention. So if you go from 0-0.25 tsp per day you get some water retention for a few days but if you stay at that amount there is no further retention.

One caveat, if you have cancers they will swell from the salt and make you VERY uncomfortable, but if you go back to old posts you can read how to use Potassium Chloride both alone or best as a mix.

NOTE: I am not a fan of Celtic or gray salt for this; I only use Bob’s Red Mill Sea Salt (White). Quoting someone from this forum: “Why would I want to add all this dirt to my salt”
