Re: Water Fast Day 1
I know a lot do not believe in salt for a fast, but I do. Mixed in with your distilled water it becomes an electrolyte for your body...and the kind of salt you are talking about (and
THIS KIND) are actually quite close to the type of natural salt in your body.
Finding the right amount for you is what is questionable. You do not want to create an imbalance - I personally believe more research should be done on the NECESSITY of (sea)salt during fasting - especially today in our very toxic world - salt is necessary to SQUEEZE the toxins OUT of the kidneys! Fasting loosens a lot of toxins. I know that, based upon what I've read through sites like
watercure.com and
watercure2.org: 1/4 level teaspoon per
quart of water to drink is a good rule of thumb.
As far as the Brita filter is concerned - it does NOT remove fluoride. Trust me, you do NOT want fluoride, either! It is only a replacement for another MORE important halogen, much more important for your body!
That would be
Iodine - of which MOST people are deficient in!!!
