Dr schulze talks about this and how it is some sort of key. I also have read that in several places. I think it has something to do with a couple of things. One is circulation, and the constriction of the vessels. The other is open the pores of the skin so it can expell any toxins. Most people don't exercise enough to break a sweat, and have a sauna, so I guess a hot shower is the next best thing. I would imagine, with the prostrate, that a sitz type bath would be best.
