Re: Went to my Gynecologist
Hello aspenbubble,
I just wanted to echo how concerned I am for you. I wonder why the Dr. told you Mirena contains testosterone, and how truly informed he is of the reactions mirena causes. It does sound like you are suffering estrogen dominance, and I did read that when you start on progesterone supplements, your estrogen levels may "fight back" for a couple of days, and your symptoms will get even worse. I read that should happen for only 3-4 days, and then you will stabilize. I would say, if you are still "worse" after 4 days, you should consider a second opinion.
also, I know you were using the progesterone cream, and I will tell you that in my research, I found that not only the concentration can effect the results, but also the inactive ingredient-the delivery system- which determines how much is actually absorbed. I have also read that progesterone cream in a tube is better as well. If you would like to post exactly what cream you were using, I can try to compare it to Dr. Lee's formula recommedations. I have been having good results with it. (I believe-I am definitely feeling better).
Please take care of yourself, and let us know how you are doing.
best,
Mamaj
