You are correct, mirena does contain progestIN, and this does lead to estrogen dominance. I am using a bio-identical progesterone cream called pro-feme, It has made a hugh difference to me, I will use it until my body starts making progesterone again. The progestins in mirena cause your body to stop producing progesterone, but after removal your body does start producing again, it just takes time. If you take more progestins you will be right back where you were with mirena, only worse because the progestins in pills are a much larger dose.
