Re: Shingles: Herbs & Clinical Trial

Amazing,

5 years ago I got them across the chest. Interesting to note my doctor told me the virus "lives" in a location on the spinal cord and will appear on the outside of the body at the same level on the spinal cord in which it resides. So, if you have it rising high on the spinal cord/brain it can produce lesions on the face; lower, down the chest, stomache etc. Is this your understanding also?

He gave me some anti virals "to push the virus back in" he said. I never took it; I thought I'd let the body have a go at pushing it back in. They (shingles) lasted about 6 weeks.

I would have loved to have known about adaptagen herbs at the time! Its a hidious experience. I have also since read that zapping can help around the affected areas.

Anyway, at the time, I read that if you have chicken pox re-occur once (shingles); it is unlikely to reoccur again. I hope so as shingles when you are old and tired would be AWFUL: its painful!

I client of mine (80) recently broke out on the face (near the eye which I understand can cause blindness in serious cases). Terrible for older people :-(. Herbs are good to know about; also zapping the affected areas. Its a good reminder to keep taking those adaptagens.
