doing a Water Fast is pretty intense and not for someone who is just starting with fasting.
i would however suggest a juice fast. they are easier. i never thought i could go a day without food (like most everyone else thinks) but juice fasting is easy. there is no hunger. check into juice fasting, might be a good way to jump start this.
i have also heard a few ppl having success with bio-k, those really expensive yogurt they sell at health food store and some reg grocery stores. they help replenish the gut flora.
