Yes, I had infectious mono about 15 years ago that landed me in the hospital for a couple days b/c I also had jaundice, beginning liver / kidney failure, hypovolemia with it too.

It was the start of a downhill exacerbation of symptoms related to my candida. Before mono, I had chronic ENT things here / there and really painful periods. After mono, all hell broke loose in my body. I haven't been the same since.

And, no, to my knowledge, no one in my family ever got it b/c they never demonstrated ANY of the symptoms I had, or even near to it.
